Project Details:
A community led grassroots movement, Huma House actively addresses the crisis of incarceration at hand through powerful alternatives. Huma House harnesses the power of art to tell real stories of incarceration and transform the lives of system impacted youth.
The project at hand was leading 30 at-risk youth in a 6-week rite of passage program where mentors with direct experience lead inner-city youth to find empowerment through creativity and care.

HUma Summer.
During summer 2022, Huma House organized a program to lead 30 at-risk inner-city youth over the course of 6 weeks, lending them a creative outlet to empower bright futures. Partnering with Hot & Cool Café to host the summer group out of Leimert Park, we explored creative expression through cooking, art, & poetry.
My production was pivotal in securing $750K in funding for Huma House.
